Straight Truck

A straight truck, also known as a box truck, cube truck, or cube van, is a type of vehicle with a cargo area that is attached directly to the truck’s chassis. Unlike a tractor-trailer combination, where the trailer is a separate unit, the cargo box of a straight truck is fixed to the same frame as the truck’s cab. Straight trucks are typically used for local or short-distance transportation of goods, including furniture, appliances, or smaller shipments.

They vary in size, but most have a weight limit of under 33,000 pounds (15,000 kg) and are commonly used by delivery companies for urban deliveries. The cab and cargo area are integrated into one unit, making them more maneuverable than larger semi-trucks, especially in city environments. Straight trucks often come equipped with roll-up doors and hydraulic lift gates to make loading and unloading easier. Their simplicity, efficiency, and manageable size make them popular for businesses that transport goods or provide moving services.
